ICC T20 World Cup: Namibia won the toss and decided to bowl first, India made two changes in the playing XI.
New Delhi. Namibia won the toss on Thursday and decided to bowl first in the 18th match of the T20 World Cup against India. Here today Namibia captain Gerard Erasmus won the toss and decided to bowl first. After the toss, Erasmus said that the wicket looked flat and considering the possibility of dew, he had decided to bat later.
He said that there are two changes in the team, Shikongo is included in the eleven.Erasmus said that an additional fast bowler has been included in his eleven. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav said that he was also thinking of batting first and as long as his team is winning the match, he is not sad about losing the toss.
Suryakumar said that the wicket looks good and their batsmen will entertain the spectators. He said that there are two changes in the team – Abhishek Sharma and Mohammed Siraj are out and Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah have returned. He said that it will take time for Abhishek to get fit. Both the teams are as follows:-
India (XI):- Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Rinku Singh, Shivam Dubey, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakraborty.
Namibia (XI):- Lauren Steenkamp, Jan Frylink, Jan Nicole Lofty-Eaton, Gerard Erasmus (captain), JJ Smit, Zane Green (wk), Ruben Trumpelman, Malan Kruger, Bernard Scottz, Ben Shikongo and Max Hingo.
Abhishek Sharma is not completely fit yet: Suryakumar Yadav
Indian T-20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav said on Thursday that explosive batsman Abhishek Sharma is not fully fit yet. During the toss in the match against Namibia here today, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav said that opener Abhishek Sharma is not completely well yet and he will not be able to play in one or two matches.
It is noteworthy that explosive Abhishek Sharma was admitted to the hospital due to stomach infection. He was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. But his playing against Namibia was considered doubtful. It was believed that the team management wanted to give him complete rest before the big match against Pakistan.
