ICC T20 World Cup: South Africa gets Super 8 ticket, Yansen and Markram shine in victory against New Zealand

With the help of career best performance of Marco Janson (4-40) and captain Aiden Markram (86 not out, 44 balls, four sixes, six fours), South Africa achieved its third consecutive win by defeating New Zealand by seven wickets with 17 balls remaining in the important match of Group D of ICC T20 World Cup here on Saturday and got the ticket for Super 8 for the first time.

New Zealand, forced to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium, scored 175 runs for seven wickets. In reply, South Africa achieved the target by losing three wickets in 17.1 overs. South Africa has the maximum six points in the group of five teams.

Chapman and Daryl Mitchell added 74 runs in 44 balls.
