After the first Test match between India and New Zealand, ICC releases the Test rankings in which wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has benefited while Indian captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli have suffered losses.
Pant got a big advantage
In the ICC rankings, England’s star batsman Joe Root remains at number one with 917 points. If we talk about Indian players in the ICC Test rankings, Yashasvi Jaiswal is at fourth position. Apart from this, wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has gained three places and has come at sixth position in the latest ICC Test rankings. Rishabh Pant had performed brilliantly in the first test match.
Kohli and Rohit suffered loss
Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli did not perform very well in the first Test against New Zealand, due to which Virat Kohli has suffered a loss in the latest ICC Test rankings and Virat Kohli has slipped one place. Virat Kohli has come at number eight. Apart from this, Rohit Sharma has lost two places and has reached number 16.
