ICC Test Ranking: Kohli and Rohit suffered losses, Jaiswal and Pant gained, Root remains at No.1

Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the latest rankings on Wednesday, in which Indian batsmen have faced a big exchange. Young star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has made a great jump in the list of Test batsmen. He scored a half-century of 56 runs in the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, which helped him gain one position and he has now reached the fifth position with 751 rating points. Yashasvi is currently India's highest-ranked Test batsman.

At the same time, star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has also returned to the top-10. Pant played his last Test in December 2022 and returned to the field after a long gap and performed brilliantly. The left-handed batsman has 751 points, which puts him in sixth place.

On the other hand, great batsman Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma have suffered losses in the latest rankings. Kohli, who could score only 13 runs in the first Test, has slipped five places to 12th. He has 709 points.

Rohit Sharma scored just 11 runs in the Test, due to which he has also dropped five places to the 10th position. He has 716 points. On the other hand, England's Joe Root (899) is at the top, while Kane Williamson (852) is in second place.
