Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the new Test bowling rankings on December 25, in which Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has created history with his brilliant performance. Bumrah has achieved the number-1 position in the ICC Test bowling rankings. With this his rating points have crossed 900, which is a big achievement in itself.

Bumrah equaled Ashwin

Bumrah has achieved a total of 904 rating points. He has become the first Indian fast bowler to do so. Overall, if we talk about Indian bowlers, he comes at second position. Earlier this achievement was in the name of Ravichandran Ashwin, who also has 904 rating points.

Bumrah's brilliant performance in Gaba test

Bumrah bowled brilliantly in the third Test match played at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the first innings he took 6 wickets for 76 runs, while in the second innings he took 3 wickets for 18 runs. Despite this match being a draw, his performance gave him a huge advantage in the ICC rankings.

Status of other Indian bowlers

Apart from Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are also included in the top-10. Ashwin is at fifth position in the rankings and has 789 rating points. At the same time, Jadeja has recently lost 4 places in the rankings, and is now at 10th position.
