Banks often launch special fixed deposit facilities for customers which offer higher interest rates than normal. Last week itself, a similar fixed deposit was launched by SBI, after which now a similar fixed deposit has been launched by IDBI Bank also. IDBI Bank has launched IDBI Chiranjeevi – Super Senior Citizen FD.
What is the specialty of IDBI Chiranjeevi – Super Senior Citizen FD?
Let us tell you that on Utsav Special Fixed Deposit, IDBI Bank is offering 65 bps additional interest rate over the standard regular fixed deposit rate of the bank and 15 bps additional interest rate on Senior Citizen Rate.
This special fixed deposit is for those who are 80 years of age or above. Also, the validity of this special fixed deposit scheme will remain only till the deadline of Utsav fixed deposit. That means investments can be made in this scheme only till March 31, 2025.
For senior citizens, interest rate of 8.05 percent is available on tenure of 555 days. 8 percent interest rate is available on tenure of 444 days. At the same time, 7.90 percent interest rate is available on tenure of 375 days. 7.85 percent interest rate is available on tenure of 700 days.
