Prayagraj. Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has issued strict guidelines to make the high school and intermediate examinations of the year 2026 completely cheating-free and transparent. In the letter sent by Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh to all the District School Inspectors (DIOS), it has been clearly stated that any kind of irregularity or use of unfair means will not be tolerated at the examination centres.
The board has directed that the center administrator, room inspector and concerned teachers should ensure that the examination is conducted only on the basis of ability and hard work of the students. There will be a complete ban on the use of any kind of shortcut, external help or misleading material. If any seal, written indication or any other inappropriate material is found in any answer sheet, it will immediately be considered as unfair means.
The letter also mentioned that in such a situation, strict action would be taken under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. If found guilty, departmental action as well as punitive measures under legal provisions can be taken against the center administrator, room inspector and concerned officers.
The board has instructed all the examination centers to exercise extra caution. It has been asked to ensure special surveillance at sensitive and vulnerable centres, activation of CCTV cameras, deployment of static magistrates and regular checking of flying squads. New security features have also been implemented in the answer sheets to prevent any kind of tampering or fraud.
It is noteworthy that the UP Board examinations will start from 18th February and continue till 12th March 2026. Lakhs of students across the state will appear in this examination. The board administration says that maintaining the sanctity and credibility of the examination is the top priority and strict action will be ensured if negligence is found at any level.
