“If CBI had not saved me, my encounter was certain…”, Big twist in Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA murder case: ‘Wrong’ Raj Singh arrested

There has been a twist in the murder case of Chandrakant Rath, Personal Assistant (PA) of West Bengal’s prominent leader Subhendu Adhikari, which has shocked everyone. While investigating this high-profile murder case, the CBI team had reached Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. From there the team arrested a person named Raj Kumar Singh. The police and investigating agencies were confident that this Raj Kumar was behind the Chandrakant Rath murder case. But the real twist was yet to come in the story.

Change of name and arrest of innocent person

In fact, this was not the same Raj Kumar Singh whom the police was looking for for years. He turned out to be just another innocent man with the same name, who was completely innocent. When the truth came to light after a thorough interrogation and investigation by the CBI, the agency immediately released him. After coming out of jail, victim Raj Singh has expressed his pain. He told that he had gone to visit Ayodhya with his mother. When he returned home, the police team was already there. The police arrested him directly without listening to anything and without asking for any evidence.

‘If CBI had not come, my encounter was certain’

Raj Singh has made very serious and sensational allegations against the police. He says that the policemen intimidated him and even threatened him with an encounter. The only objective of the police was to make Raj Singh confess to a crime which he had never committed. After this he was taken to Kolkata, where the CID tortured him badly. Raj Singh, crying, said that if CBI had not conducted an impartial investigation in this case, the police would have encountered him. He was haunted by the fear every night that the police would take him in a car and take him somewhere and shoot him on the road.

Appealed for justice to CM Yogi Adityanath

Ultimately the truth prevailed in the CBI investigation and Raj Singh was proved innocent. He thanked CBI wholeheartedly for saving his life. Now innocent Raj Singh has begged for justice from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He has appealed that strictest action should be taken against the policemen who tortured him without any reason and threatened to encounter him. Raj Singh told that he and his father have always been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and he himself is a member of the Kshatriya Mahasabha, but in this hour of trouble no one came forward to help him.
