If government medical college is not found, it will be closed in Bhind and Katni – Raghu Thakur

Bhopal. Founder and patron of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Raghu Thakur has said that if the government medical college is not opened in Bhind, then LSP will campaign to organize a bandh in both the cities. Shri Thakur was addressing the protest demonstration of LSP organized at Neelam Park in Jahangirabad, Bhopal today. Party workers from different districts and cities of Madhya Pradesh had reached Bhopal to submit the memorandum of their demands to the government. In the presence of party’s National President Advocate Shambhudayal Baghel and various officials and workers, Raghu Thakur said that the way Chief Ministers are being made through slips, feudalism is returning to democracy. Instead of parties of farmer laborers, caste parties are now being formed.

After a long movement of LSP for medical colleges in Katni and Bhind, the government has announced to open medical colleges here on PPP model, but LSP has decided that either completely government medical colleges should be built here, otherwise government medical colleges of Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior, Rewa etc. should also be run on PPP model.

The issues on which LSP had organized a protest in Bhopal today include the demand for opening of government medical colleges in Katni and Bhind, ban on selling of government properties and encroachment of private sector, arrest of those encroaching on government land, regularization of guest scholars, timely supply of fertilizers and seeds to farmers in adequate quantity and demand of compensation of Rs. 20,000 per acre in case of crop failure due to rain. People coming from the region also raised the issue of illegal occupation of pasture land, arbitrary electricity bills given to farmers and severe shortage of fertilizers.

Raghu Thakur said that the policy of LSP is that there should be one car in every house and new factories should be set up on the land of old closed factories, otherwise the land should be returned to the original farmers instead of giving it to private industries at throwaway prices, employment should also be provided to the people of the places where the land has been given to the factory.

Speaking on the issue of illegal encroachment, Shri Thakur said that wherever there is a government road, it should be recorded in the government records and a case should be registered against the illegal encroachers. Expressing concern over the ever-shortening sessions of Parliament and Assemblies and the loss of internal democracy in parties, Raghu Thakur said that for the return of true democracy, it has become necessary to change governments from time to time and choose the right option. Only when the voters overcome all kinds of greed and fear and come on the path of struggle for the right issues will the governments do the right thing.

State Vice President Shyamsundar Yadav said that all the problems in rural areas are the result of the negligence of the Revenue Department. For the governance and administration to function properly, it is necessary to create pressure through agitation from time to time. After singing the flag song, Raghu Thakur said that Mahatma Gandhi had asked Acharya Kripalani to go to jail to fight against injustice and inspire people to become fearless. He is needed even today. Speaking on the conspiracy of the corporate world, Raghu ji, while mentioning the recent arbitrariness of private air services, closure of local oil fields on the pretext of dropsy disease, conspiracy and loot of arms and drug manufacturers at the global level, said that the corporate now wants to evict the farmers from farming, hence there is a need to be careful.
