If I had all the money in the world, I wouldn’t be a cricketer: Glenn Phillips Gujarati
New Zealand’s star all-rounder Glenn Phillips believes that if he had all the money in the world, he would not have become a cricketer. He said that he would have liked to be a pilot. He proved this recently in the Champions Trophy. Phillips surprised everyone by taking the catch of Virat Kohli.
28-year-old Phillips has flown a two-seater Cessna 152 aircraft but due to his busy schedule with cricket, he is unable to pursue his hobby. He is considered one of the smartest fielders in world cricket. Talking about this he said- I think a large part of it definitely depends on genetics from the point of view of speed and agility. So, I guess you could say it has a little bit to do with my natural talent, but at the end of the day, you have to move forward based on your own skills and talents.
He further said that, the other side of it is my hard work and giving my best. So if I leave the catch, it does not mean that I have not tried from my side. Marcus Stoinis’s catch in Sydney was the best catch in the T20 World Cup (2022).
