‘If the guarantee is not implemented, the youth will again take to the streets’, CJP’s ultimatum to the government.

New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party CJP, which led a 36-day agitation at Jantar Mantar against NEET paper leak, has warned the Central Government. The organization says that the agreement reached on July 25 is not being followed. If action against protesting students is not stopped and FIRs are not withdrawn, CJP will again start a nationwide agitation.

Question on agreement!     

In a press conference with senior Supreme Court lawyer and SP MP Kapil Sibal on Monday, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said that the agitation was withdrawn only after talks with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Dr Jitendra Singh. The government had assured that no police action would be taken against any protestor.

But now the reverse is happening. Saurav Das alleged that "The government first calms down the movement and then targets people one by one." CJP says that it is helping all the students against whom cases have been registered.

Kapil Sibal gave help of Rs 1 crore    

In the press conference, Kapil Sibal said that suppressing the voice of dissent is wrong. He announced Rs 1 crore for the legal fight of the protesting students.

Sibal said, "A website will be created where affected students can connect directly with lawyers. There is an appeal to lawyers across the country to come forward." He made it clear that this fund will be completely spent on the legal aid of the students and the distribution will be done by CJP.

How many cases, and where?    

CJP member Ratna Singh said that most of the complaints are coming from Bihar. It is alleged that the police there committed brutality and imposed sections like attempt to murder. There have been 7-8 FIRs in Assam and 11 arrests in Kolkata, out of which 10 are said to be Muslims.

According to the organization, 86 people have been arrested so far. Ratna Singh also alleged that Delhi Police was identifying the protesters through face recognition technology and the matter could be given a communal colour.

New platform and panel of lawyers   

CJP has "Witness" Announced the launch of an online platform named. Saurav Das said that those who have videos or photos of police action can upload it. These will be used as evidence in the court.

Along with this, a panel of lawyers will be formed in every district, so that the students who are victims of the action can get immediate legal help. CJP said that the movement was withdrawn after the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, but the government is going back on the promise. If the FIRs are not returned within a week, then there are preparations to take to the streets again.
