The festival of Dev Diwali was celebrated with great pomp in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. As soon as it was Friday evening, the twinkling of lakhs of lamps on the 84 ghats of Ganga enthralled the people. Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar was made the chief guest in this Dev Diwali. Apart from him, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, CM Yogi and other leaders have also participated in this program. This Dev Diwali, everyone’s eyes were fixed on a special attraction where CM Yogi’s slogan ‘Banthoge to Katoge’ was written with lamps.

On Dev Diwali, all the ghats of Varanasi were decorated with lakhs of lamps. During this period, CM Yogi’s slogan “If you divide, you will be divided” was in discussion at Pandey Ghat decorated with 51000 lamps. CM Yogi himself was present at Namo Ghat along with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and also inaugurated Namo Ghat Phase 2. Different shapes were made with lamps at different ghats. People kept watching him closely. Some people were even seen clicking selfies on the ghat with the slogan “If you divide, you will be cut”.

Banaras lit up as soon as it got dark

As soon as it got dark, lakhs of lamps were lit at Panchganga Ghat and the banks of Ganga were illuminated for seven and a half kilometers. The splendor of Kashi was visible from about seventeen lakh lamps. The lamps started twinkling like moonlight on the crescent-shaped ghats. When the tourists saw this supernatural sight, they just kept looking at it. The supernatural scene of Devlok on the ghats captivated the hearts of the people.

Mother Ganga’s shade became visible immediately

Yogi government is continuously branding Dev Diwali to make it grand. Last year the ghats were illuminated with 12 lakh lamps. This time more than 17 lakh lamps were lit. Due to public participation, the number of these lamps crossed 17 lakhs. In which more than 3 lakh lamps are made from cow dung. In such a situation, when the adornment and Maha Aarti of Mother Ganga wearing garlands of lamps took place on the crescent-shaped ghats of Kashi, it looked sixth and amazing.

Ganga Aarti completed with grandeur

The Aarti of Mother Ganga, which is held regularly at Dashashwamedh Ghat, was given a grand appearance on Dev Diwali. This Maha Aarti, which gives the message of nationalism and socialism along with religion, is dedicated to the martyrs of the Kargil war. The immortal brave warriors of India were also honored with Bhagirath Shaurya Samman. The ghats echoed with the sound of conch shells and the sound of drums. The website was launched by Ganga Seva Nidhi. The grand aarti of Mother Ganga was also seen at other ghats of Kashi.
