Ingredients required to make Matar Ka Nimona
One and a half cups fresh peeled peas,
1 potato, cut into pieces
1 tomato,
half inch ginger,
half onion,
4-5 cloves garlic,
Half spoon garam masala,
Half spoon vegetable masala,
half teaspoon turmeric,
some green coriander
Green chilly
1 teaspoon cumin,
1 pinch asafoetida,
1 bay leaf
salt as per taste
Mustard oil for making Nimona.
How to make Pea Nimona
First of all, peel the peas and cut the potatoes. Also chop tomato, onion, ginger and garlic. Chop green coriander. Grind onion, ginger, garlic and green chilli and make a paste. Put peas in a mixer and grind them coarsely.

Take out the peas in a plate and grind the tomatoes to make a paste. Now put oil in a pan and heat it. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds in it. Add bay leaves and onion, ginger and garlic paste. Grind the spices and then add tomatoes and fry everything well.
When the masala is roasted, add coarsely ground peas and fry for 5 minutes. Add chopped potatoes to it and continue frying for some time. Now add all the spices in it. Fry these things and then mix water and add salt. Cover and cook Nimona.
You can make the pea paste as thick or thin as you like. When the potatoes become soft and the peas are completely cooked, then understand that Nimona is ready. Now add finely chopped coriander to Nimona.
Green pea Nimona is ready, you can eat it with rice, roti or paratha. Hot rotis with white butter taste delicious with Nimona. You can also eat millet or maize bread with Nimona.
