The maximum temperature may remain around 19 to 21 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may fall to 7 to 9 degrees Celsius. The cold will be very intense, so wear warm clothes while going out. Visibility may be reduced due to fog, so be careful while driving.

Fog will continue to wreak havoc in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog may persist in many areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh till December 28. After that, fog will persist at some places between 29th and 31st December. There is a possibility of dense fog in western Uttar Pradesh till 28th December, in Punjab from 27th to 31st December, in Haryana and Chandigarh during this period, fog may prevail in some parts of Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh from 27th to 28th December. In Bihar too, dense fog will be seen at many places between 25th and 29th December. The effect of cold and fog will continue in some areas of Rajasthan also.

Meteorological Department issued special alert

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of dense fog in the morning and evening in states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir. During this period, visibility on the roads may become very low, which increases the risk of accidents. The department has advised people to be very careful while driving. Use fog lights, keep speed low and go out only when necessary. If you are traveling by train or flight, then check the status first, because there may be delay due to fog.
