“If Yuvraj Singh had died from cancer”: Yograj Singh’s makes emotional statement on his son
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh has made a big statement on his son. He recently spoke to Samdish and revealed what would have made him proud.
He said that had his son Yuvraj Singh died from cancer as the Men in Blue won the 2011 World Cup, he would have been proud of his son. Yuvraj was battling cancer during the successful campaign and he was treated after the conclusion of the global event in the sub-continent.
“If Yuvraj Singh had died from cancer and India won the World Cup, I would have been proud of my son. I told him this and urged him to continue even when he was spitting blood on the pitch. I told him that he won’t die and win the World Cup for India,” he said.
Yuvraj was the best all-rounder to play for India National Cricket Team but his father is still not convinced. “If Yuvraj Singh had worked even 10 precent like his father, he would have become a great cricketer,” he added.
Yuvraj failed to cement his place after recovering from cancer and was dropped from the team on several occasions. After failing to impress the selectors, he announced his retirement in 2019. He continues to play in different T20 leagues.
