IIT Mandi Graduate Japan Job: The success story of an IIT Mandi student is becoming an inspiration for the youth who dream of getting a job abroad. 23-year-old Parshwa Jain has got a great package as a Machine Learning Engineer in Japan.

He shared his career journey on social media, after which this story quickly went viral. His journey, which started from campus placement, has now reached Tokyo.

Inspirational story of IIT student

Parshwa Jain got this opportunity through campus placement during college. He was selected through the same company which had visited IIT Mandi for recruitment. Currently, he works as a Machine Learning Engineer in the Tokyo office of Rakuten Group.

He told that his annual salary is 6 to 6.5 million yen, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 35 to 38 lakh in Indian currency. Getting such a big package in a foreign company at such a young age is considered a big achievement for the youth.

AI and machine learning areas offering the most opportunities

Parshva told in this video that the demand for AI and machine learning is continuously increasing in the tech industry. Although the need for hardware infrastructure has also increased, AI and Machine Learning remain the areas offering the most opportunities in terms of career. He advised the youth that to get a job in Japan, it is important to have strong skills.

Direct lateral hiring may be a bit difficult for freshers, but opportunities are more for mid-level and senior professionals. Many Japanese companies also provide visa sponsorship and relocation support. Japanese language is not mandatory, but knowing it can prove beneficial for your career.
