Ikkis first day box office collection: Dharmendra’s film records respectable opening

The much-anticipated film Ikkis, which was released as New Year treat, has opened to a decent response and collected a good numbers at the Indian box office on the first day.

The Dharmendra starrer is a war drama film and it was much-hyped film for two reasons. Firstly, it is the last film of late actor and secondly, it has unique content. The makers had a decent amount of promotion for the film. These aspects fetched it a fair amount of advance booking.

Ikkis opened to a low occupancy in the morning shows on Thursday. But the footfalls improved during the afternoon. Multiplex chains reported better traction compared to single screens. The best response came during evening and night shows. The film reportedly registered an average of 50 percent occupancy in later shows of its opening day.

The movie received good response in metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad, while Tier-2 cities recorded average footfalls. Single screens and mass belts showed a muted response, which was expected given the film’s narrative-driven approach.

Taran Adarsh posted, “#Ikkis exceeds all expectations, opening to a healthy Day 1 total… Business gathered momentum post-noon, with the new year (1 Jan 2026) holiday giving a clear boost to collections. The film also benefited from the presence of legendary actor #Dharmendra, whose final screen appearance happens to be #Ikkis.”

Ikkis has collected Rs 7,28 crore net at the Indian box office on the first day of its release.
