Illegal opium cultivation hidden in wheat field caught in Bhilwara

Rajasthan news: In Bhilwara district of Rajasthan, the police has brought to light a sensational case of illegal opium cultivation hidden in a wheat field. This action was taken under the leadership of Bhilwara Sadar DYSP Probationer IPS Madhav Upadhyay on Sunday in Delana village of Gangapur police station area.

8500 opium plants seized, total weight 125 kg 96 grams

After a thorough search of the wheat field, the police found 8500 opium plants in a separate bed. The total weight of these plants was 125 kg 96 grams. The police packed them in thirteen plastic bags and seized them. Buds had also appeared on all the opium plants, which indicates that the crop was fully developed.

Rajasthan news: Action taken on informer’s information

DySP Madhav Upadhyay gave information about this entire matter. He told that he had received information from the informer that illegal opium cultivation was taking place amidst the wheat crop in Narayan Lal’s field.

Rajasthan news: Special team searched the field

After receiving the information, a special team was formed on the instructions of Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh. The team went to the farm of Narayan Lal Jat of Delana village and discovered a separate bed of opium amidst the wheat crop. The size of the bed was 7 feet wide and 150 feet long.

Farmer absconds from the spot, search continues

Rajasthan news: Police have registered a case against Narayan Lal Jat under the NDPS Act and started investigation. As soon as he got wind of opium cultivation, the farmer fled from the spot. The police are currently raiding possible locations and trying to catch him. In Is engaged.
