IMD Winter Forecast: Cold has just arrived in these states including UP-Bihar, get ready
New Delhi. It is now getting cold in North India. In many states, dense fog is also being seen in the morning and night. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that the minimum temperature will fall by three degrees in the next five days in the states of North-West India. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has warned that for the next two days, there will be very dense fog in the morning and night in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana.

The Meteorological Department said that there will be light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe on November 17 and 18. There is also a warning of thunderstorm and lightning. There is a rain alert in Andaman and Nicobar also till this week. Talking about North India, very dense fog will be seen in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, North Rajasthan, North UP, Bihar till the night of 17th and morning of 18th November. At the same time, there will be dense fog in Himachal Pradesh for the next five days. Fog is expected to prevail in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Western Assam, Meghalaya till November 18.
Minimum temperatures are above average in areas of Central Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, North Karnataka, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Marathwada, Coastal Karnataka. Today the lowest temperature in the plains has been recorded in Delhi at 11.8 degrees Celsius.
There has been a slight further drop in the minimum temperature in Delhi-NCR in the last 24 hours. The maximum temperature remains between 28-30 °C, while the minimum temperature remains between 12-17 °C. While the maximum temperature is one degree higher than the average, the minimum temperature is up to four degrees Celsius higher than the average at many places.
Delhi's air quality in 'severe' category The air quality index (AQI) in the national capital remained in the 'severe' category on Sunday. According to 'Sameer App' from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI was recorded at 429 at 9 am. The 24-hour average AQI at 4 pm on Saturday was 417. AQI between 0-50 is 'good', 51-100 is 'satisfactory', 101-200 is 'moderate', 201-300 is 'poor', 301-400 is 'very poor' and 401-500 is 'poor'. It is considered to be in the 'severe' category when it is between . The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate fog in the morning or night, while the maximum temperature is expected to be around 30 degrees Celsius. The humidity level was recorded at 94 percent at 8.30 am.
