Immediate transfer of two officers in Gorakhpur Police, order issued in public interest

Gorakhpur. As per the minutes of the meeting of the District Establishment Board formed with the aim of further strengthening the law and order in the district, an order for transfer of two police officers has been issued. These appointments have been implemented with immediate effect in public interest. According to the order issued, Inspector and Sub Inspector level officers have been given new posting at the place mentioned against their names.

According to the information received, Inspector Pankaj Gupta has been transferred from the Crime Branch and appointed to the post of Inspector-in-Charge (PIR), Rajghat. Inspector Pankaj Gupta’s PNO is 012320181. While in the crime branch, he played an active role in uncovering many important cases. Considering his working style, he has now been given the responsibility of an important police station like Rajghat, where crime control and maintaining peace is considered the primary challenge.

Whereas Sub Inspector Ashish Tiwari has been transferred from outpost in-charge Azad Nagar and appointed as SHO of Sikriganj police station. PNO of Sub Inspector Ashish Tiwari is 172321789. During his posting at Azad Nagar outpost, he had made his mark through quick resolution of local problems, public relations and effective action against criminals. Sikriganj police station area is considered sensitive, hence the benefit of his experience will be helpful in further strengthening the law and order of the area.

According to the police administration, all these transfers have been done keeping in mind public interest and administrative necessity. After discussing various aspects in the meeting of the District Establishment Board, it was decided that it is necessary to deploy experienced and active officers at some major police stations, so that effective control on crime, quick action and public confidence can be further strengthened.

If sources are to be believed, more administrative changes are possible in the district in the coming days. The police department believes that transfers made from time to time not only increase efficiency but also make the policing system more transparent and effective. After getting the new responsibilities, both the officers have started the process of assuming charge soon.
