Important meeting of India and Vietnam in Delhi, ‘Master Plan’ made for the upliftment of tribal communities – Read
A major ministerial-level meeting was held between India and Vietnam in New Delhi. The meeting was presided over by India’s Tribal Minister Jual Oraon and Vietnam’s Minister Dao Ngoc Dung. Both countries aim to share each other’s experiences and policies for the development of their tribal and tribal communities. The blueprint which was first prepared at the secretary level has now been approved by the ministers and the cooperation has been further strengthened. Both the countries will work together for the betterment of education, health and employment in their tribal areas.
At the beginning of the meeting, the ministers of both the countries presented memorable gifts to each other. Union Minister Jual Oraon said that the relationship between India and Vietnam is linked to the teachings of Lord Buddha and old civilizations. He also mentioned the immense success of the exhibition of sacred relics of Buddha in Vietnam. India described Vietnam as its very important partner.
Along with this, Vietnam’s participation in ‘Bharat Tribes Fest 2026’ was also appreciated. Actually, this entire discussion was based on the vision of the Prime Minister, in which emphasis has been laid on saving the heritage and progressing together with the countries around the world.
India-Vietnam complete 10 years of comprehensive strategic partnership
India and Vietnam expressed happiness over the completion of 10 years of their comprehensive strategic partnership and resolved to further strengthen it through cultural-mutual ties. Vietnam appreciated India’s help in its development and showed commitment towards the development of all its 54 ethnic groups. Both the countries agreed to work together and take advantage of each other’s experiences in areas such as agriculture, education, health, skill development and welfare of tribal communities.
Both countries committed to the development of their tribal communities
India and Vietnam reviewed the draft of ‘Memorandum of Cooperation’ (MoC) to enhance cooperation between ministries, to which Vietnam has given its approval. It is expected to be completed soon. On this occasion, Vietnam also invited Union Minister Jual Oraon to come there for the signing of the agreement. Oraon assured full support from India and said that mutual trust is the real strength of this partnership. Both countries expressed confidence in working together for the sustainable development of their tribal communities.
