Recently, the government announced to continue the ban on meetings, after which Imran Khan’s sister Alima Khan along with a large number of PTI supporters arrived on Tuesday to protest outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

Use of water cannon to clear the crowd

The atmosphere of this peaceful protest going on in the cold night became tense when the police used water cannon to disperse the crowd. Strong water cannons were used on the protesters, causing many to scatter. PTI has termed this action as a violation of human rights.

According to Pakistani media don, PTI has banned the social media platform ‘X’ But issued a statement saying that despite the court granting permission to meet Imran Khan, the police used water cannon on his sister and workers. The party says that this action is an attempt to suppress the peaceful protest, which is a violation of the citizens’ right to freedom of assembly.

Fascist activities started again

A video shared by PTI showed police using water cannon and sending protesters running away. The party wrote that the fascist activities of Punjab Police have started again. Peaceful protesters were attacked in the freezing cold. These cowardly steps can neither suppress our voice nor weaken our courage.

PTI also said that Imran Khan’s family had staged a protest in protest against not being allowed to meet him. The party claims that stopping the meeting is not only a violation of Imran Khan’s prisoner rights, but is also a direct attack on the constitutional rights of the democratic opposition.
