In Bihar, an army soldier crushed a woman who was out on a morning walk with her car, she died.

On Saturday, an Army soldier crushed a woman with a car in Pipra of Supaul district of Bihar. Woman died in road accident. The accident took place in the morning on National Highway 106 in Shyamnagar of Pipra police station area, when the woman was out for a morning walk. The deceased has been identified as Sita Devi (50), wife of Janardan Mandal, resident of Pakri Ward 18 of Rampur Panchayat. She had gone out for a walk on the roadside in the morning. Then a speeding car crushed him. Sita Devi was seriously injured in the accident. The local people hurriedly took him to Pipra CHC for treatment. After first aid from here, he was referred to Supaul Sadar Hospital. On reaching Supaul the doctor declared him dead.

On receiving the information, Pipra police station reached Pipra, gave assurance to the family, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police is busy in further investigation. On the other hand, the angry villagers who gathered at the spot after the accident took the car and all the people in it into their custody. Police Station Head Amit Kakumar said that appropriate action will be taken after receiving the application.

It is being told that a person resident of Ghonghadia was driving the car. He is posted as Havildar in the army. To join duty, he left for Kolkata with his family in a car from his home. Then the woman was hit by his car in Shyamnagar.
