1 lakh families in Goa signed Sepura campaign, complained about bad roads: Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal Goa Visit: The atmosphere of District Panchayat elections is gaining momentum in Goa and in this context, Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convener Arvind Kejriwal reached the state on a three-day visit. On Friday, he interacted with taxi drivers at the Mobor-Cavelossim taxi stand and listened to their problems. After this, he addressed a public meeting in Gelmed in support of AAP’s District Panchayat candidate James Fernandez. During this he said that the condition of Goa’s roads has become very bad. Here it is not understood whether there are potholes in the roads or there are roads in the potholes.

Sharp attack on corruption, questions on development

Kejriwal also accused the state government. He said that corruption has become rampant in Goa in the last 13 years. The Birch Romeo Lane nightclub incident has tarnished Goa’s image internationally. He also described the poor condition of the roads as a big issue, saying that out of the population of 15 lakh, one lakh families have demanded to improve the roads under the Sepura campaign.

example of punjab model

In his speech, Kejriwal claimed that the AAP government in Punjab has built 43 thousand km of world class roads, whereas the same could have been done in Goa but it did not happen. He said that Goa, famous for its natural beauty, is now in the headlines for wrong reasons and the politics here needs transparency and development.

Neither school nor hospital, roads are also in bad condition

Arvind Kejriwal said that only a year ago the local Panchayat had ordered the demolition of the night club. Even after this the night club was running. There are so many night clubs running illegally all over Goa, where tomorrow another family member may die. There are neither schools for children nor good hospitals for patients in the state. Even if there are roads, they are also in bad condition.

AAP convener said that only Aam Aadmi Party is an honest party. Our aim is development. Basic facilities have to be provided to the people. Whatever is their right has to be delivered to them.
