Nearly 10 Naxalites killed in Jharkhand, including Anal worth Rs 1 crore, security forces crack down on Naxal activities
Chaibasa. As part of the anti-Naxal operation in Jharkhand, a fierce encounter took place between the security forces and the Naxalite organization in the Saranda forest area of Chaibasa district on Thursday. This encounter took place in the dense and inaccessible forests of Chotanagra Police Station area, when the security forces had started a joint operation on the basis of secret information about the presence of Naxalites. Naxalite Anal, carrying a reward of Rs 1 crore, along with 9 to 10 other fellow Naxalites are reported to have been killed in the encounter.

According to the information received, senior officers of CRPF and Jharkhand Police had received information about the activities of Naxalites in the forests of Saranda. After this, a joint team of Cobra Battalion, Jharkhand Jaguar and District Police started a search operation in the area. During the search operation, as soon as the security forces reached near the Naxalites, the Naxalites, seeing themselves surrounded, started firing indiscriminately.
Security forces also immediately took charge and retaliated. Heavy firing continued from both sides for a long time, due to which an atmosphere of panic was created in the entire area. It is being told that as the pressure from the security forces increased, some Naxalites took advantage of the dense forests and fled from the spot. After the encounter, security forces have surrounded the entire area and an intensive search operation is going on. Security agencies are constantly monitoring the area and additional forces have also been deployed so that immediate action can be taken against any kind of Naxalite activity.
