In Sonbhadra, anti corruption team caught a contract health worker taking bribe of fifty thousand rupees, panic

Chanchal Kumar Yadav, a contractual worker posted in the office of the Chief Medical Officer, who was working as a computer operator in the Health Department, was caught red handed by the Anti Corruption team while taking a bribe of Rs 50 thousand from Roadways Bus Station Robertsganj on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the information received, an application was made in the office of the Chief Medical Officer, in return of which the contract worker demanded a bribe of Rs 50 thousand, then the victim contacted the anti-corruption team and informed about the matter. On the request of complainant Ratnesh, the anti-corruption team took action and caught him red handed.

After this the team took him to Robertsganj police station where action was taken after interrogating him thoroughly. According to the information received, Meera Devi, wife of Ratnesh Kumar Shukla, resident of Pili Kothi, Mirzapur, had applied to the Chief Medical Officer’s office for renewal and registration of ultrasound and X-ray machine in the district, on which she was accused of demanding bribe by the contract worker.

As per their plan, the team gave fifty thousand rupees to Ratnesh and asked him to call the employee at Roadways Bus Station Robertsganj on the scheduled date and time. On the call of the complainant, the accused reached the station where Ratnesh immediately gave him Rs 50 thousand. Meanwhile, the anti-corruption team standing nearby caught him red handed with the money.

After this, the team took the accused to the police station where his hand turned red after getting it washed. He was interrogated for hours by the anti-corruption team in the police station where he made many revelations. Although the accused regretted his mistake and begged the team to let him go, but the team took him to the lockup. A case has been registered against the contract health worker under relevant sections at Robertsganj police station.
