In Thakurdwara, the municipality itself started bulldozing its shops in the dark of night, what is the matter?
Yameen Vikat, Thakurdwara. These days, the municipality is being criticized in Thakurdwara, Uttar Pradesh. The matter is so filmy that everyone is surprised. Here, at first the administration arbitrarily constructed two luxurious shops on the passenger waiting room, but as the matter escalated and the officials were reprimanded, the municipality itself got them bulldozed in the dark of night. Now the discussion in the entire city is that what happened that the shops built by oneself had to be demolished in a hurry?
Recovery of Rs 60 lakh and the game behind the scenes
The biggest discussion in the city at present is about the alleged amount taken in exchange for those shops. Sources claim that a big game was going on behind the scenes to give these shops to their favourites. It is being said that around Rs 25 to 30 lakh was ‘recovered’ from each shop. That is, discussions about a total transaction of Rs 60 lakh in the name of two shops are common. But before the deal could be finalized, the matter reached the authorities and the game went haywire.
Shops were set up without any proposal
The surprising thing is that these shops were being built in the name of night shelters at the passenger waiting room right in front of the Municipality. Ignoring the rules, neither any proposal for this was passed nor this information was given in the board meeting. Construction work was started just arbitrarily. When rumors of this increased in the city, the local authorities took cognizance of the matter and keeping in mind the public interest, ordered the demolition of the shops.
Cleaning of JCB and Municipal Chairman in the dark of night
After the rebuke from the officials, the condition of the municipality became like that of a snake-rat. To avoid infamy, the municipality secretly called JCB in the dark of night and razed the shops built by itself. Now when the public is asking questions, the Municipality Chairman says that they were not shops but ‘RR Centre’. Now the question arises that if it was a government centre, did it have any proposal? And if everything was legal, why was it broken like this in the dark of night? At present, this matter has raised big questions on the functioning of the municipality.
