New Delhi. The Supreme Court again started hearing on the issue of stray dogs on Thursday. The Supreme Court focused on the petitions highlighting the dangers posed by stray animals and the alleged shortcomings of the civic authorities in controlling them. According to Live Law Report, during the hearing, senior lawyer CU Singh argued that there is a danger of rats and monkeys in Delhi. What happens if dogs are removed suddenly? The population of rats increases. Dogs maintain balance.

The hearing on the case of stray dogs is going on in the bench of Justice Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and NV Anjaria. Meanwhile, the bench, while clarifying its earlier directions, emphasized that no order was given to remove every stray dog ​​from the streets. Under the rules, instructions were given to remove them only from institutional areas.

During the hearing in the Supreme Court on Wednesday, senior lawyer Kapil Sibal had argued that capturing all the dogs is not the solution. Commenting on this, the Supreme Court said that prevention is always better than cure. Sibal argued that it is not possible to keep all the dogs in the shelter. It is also not economically viable. This has to be done scientifically. The problem is that the laws are not being followed.
