In the hot seats of Maharashtra, Kankavali and Kudal, both the son and the respect of the father are at stake in the field…

Maharashtra:- Ratnagiri may be famous for its juicy mangoes, actually Hapu mango, which is exported across the world, is produced in Deogarh taluka of Sindhudurg district. This time, Sindhudurg is in the news due to the candidature of Narayan Rane's two sons from two of the four assembly seats of the district, Kankavali and Kudal. People's interest has increased further due to both the sons fighting on tickets of different parties.

Narayan Rane himself was once a staunch Shiv Sainik and a strong leader of Shiv Sena. He was the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and is currently the Minister of Small and Medium Industries in the Modi government. His influence on the eight assembly constituencies of his Lok Sabha seat Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg is the same as that of the common man around the world. Till the noise of the election campaign subsided, no rival was seen anywhere near the Rane family on both the seats.

Interestingly, one of Narayan Rane's sons, Nitish Rane, is contesting from Kankavali again on the BJP ticket, while the other elder son, Nilesh Rane, is contesting from its neighboring seat Kudal on the ticket of BJP's ally Shiv Sena Shinde in Mahayuti. Nitesh is a two-time MLA from Kankavali, while Nilesh is contesting his first election. Undoubtedly, due to the political stature of the father, both the sons got tickets together. Rane is currently a BJP MP from Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha seat and the assembly seats of both his sons fall in their Lok Sabha constituency. The victory of sons is a question of prestige for the father. Since Nitish is contesting elections for the third time, Rane has put in all his strength to ensure that people's anger against him does not show any impact and Nilesh does not fail in his launch attempt into politics.

Once upon a time we were ours, now we are rivals

Undoubtedly, for the candidates of Shiv Sena Uddhav on both the seats, the competition with the sons of Narayan Rane, once a stalwart of the undivided Shiv Sena, in the area dominated by him, is no less than a tough test. Narayan Rane himself is fully confident of the victory of both his sons, and his once subordinate Shiv Sainik Sandesh Parkar in Kankavali and Vaibhav Naik in Kudal are sweating in front of the Rane sons. Although both Shiv Sena are face to face on 4 out of 6 seats in Ratnagiri district, but in Kankavli and Kudal, the real competition of Uddhav Sena is not with BJP or Shiv Sena Shinde, but with the name and influence of Narayan Rane.

Voters avoid being vocal

In an effort to talk to many people in the market of Nitish Rane's constituency Kankavali in the evening after the election campaign stopped, one thing was clearly understood that most of the people are not ready to speak openly against the Rane family. But those who are supporters of Rane were seen praising him openly. On the way from the station to the hotel, as soon as the auto driver left, he said that we have to drive the auto only if we win, some are due to the opening of a factory and some are due to get a job. Hotel caretaker Vinod Tambe, who came to leave the luggage in the room, said that BJP will win here. The MLA has got many works done in ten years, women are happy with the Ladki Brahmin Yojana. Don't know about Nilesh, here Nitish's victory is certain. Mukund Parab, who was met in the market, also talked about Nitish's victory. But Sandesh Parkar, who is fighting against Shiv Sena's Uddhav, is a resident of Kankavali, he will get an edge in the town but Nitish will win in the villages because of his father's influence. According to another auto driver Deepak Margut, this time there is competition, even if Nitish wins, his victory margin will definitely be less. Sakina Pathan, who was selling vegetables in Patwardhan Chowk under the over bridge of Kankavali, said that seven and a half thousand rupees have been found from the girl's sister. Eknath replied, “Who gave it?” Whom will you vote for? Who is from Eknath's party?

Some resentment towards Narayan too

Subhash Maldkar, who met Nitish in the election office of Narayan Rane's mouthpiece “Prahar” in Kankavali, claimed that Nitish had done a lot of development work in the Kankavali assembly constituency in ten years. What was there here, see for yourself today. On the matter of Shivesna Uddhav candidate Sandesh Parkar being local, Subhash said in a loud voice, who knows Sandesh apart from Kankavali? Similarly, in Shiv Sena Uddhav's election office, Shiv Sena's Taluka Deputy Chief Narayan Rane appeared more angry with the family. Nitish's behavior towards people is not good. It says, who is Uddhav Thackeray? People do not speak openly but on 23rd they will give a befitting reply. People are angry with Narayan Rane for making both his sons contest elections and that too from different parties.
