As soon as the name of 20-year-old left-arm spin all-rounder Prashant Veer was called in the IPL auction in Abu Dhabi, no one had any idea that the bid with a base price of Rs 30 lakh would reach Rs 14.2 crore within a few minutes. With this bid, the record of the most expensive uncapped player in the IPL auction was broken. The mini auction held in Abu Dhabi brought a proud moment for Amethi. He was included in their team by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a huge sum of Rs 14.20 crore.

Along with this, Prashant Veer has also demonstrated his talent in the Under-19 team of School Federation of India. Recently he has been selected in Ranji.
