Background to the conflict

In fact, tensions between the US and Iran have escalated since February 28th. The US, in collaboration with Israel, launched a military operation called Operation Epic Fury . This operation resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader , Ali Khamenei . Following this, Iran intensified its retaliatory actions, targeting several military and energy installations in the Gulf region.

Impact on global markets

The impact of this conflict is also being felt on the global economy. Reports indicate that the US dollar has strengthened, while pressure has increased on several other economic indicators.
Experts believe that if the tensions continue for a long time, it could have a profound impact on global energy markets, trade, and international politics. In particular, the increasing pressure on the Strait of Hormuz is considered a major cause for concern, as it is one of the world’s most important oil transportation routes.
