He said, today there is celebration of Christmas all over the world. I wish a very Merry Christmas to the Christian community present in the country and across the world. The BJP government formed under the leadership of Mohan Yadav has completed one year. I congratulate the people of Madhya Pradesh and the workers of BJP. Today is the birth anniversary of revered Atal ji. Today is the centenary of the birth of Bharat Ratna Atal ji. This festival of Atal ji's birth anniversary is also a festival of our inspiration for good governance.
At the same time, during this time PM Modi targeted the Congress government. The PM said, in the past, Congress governments used to be experts in making announcements. Making announcements, cutting the ribbon, lighting lamps, getting photographs published in the newspaper… their (Congress) work was completed there and people could not get the benefit of it. He also said that good governance also means that citizens should not have to reach out to the government for their rights and should not have to visit government offices. This is our policy to connect 100% beneficiaries with 100% benefits.
The PM said, for decades, farmers, mothers and sisters of Madhya Pradesh struggled for every drop of water. Because Congress never thought of a permanent solution to the water crisis. When Atal ji's government was formed in the country, he started working seriously to solve water related challenges. But as soon as the Congress government was formed in 2004, Congress put all the efforts of Atal ji on hold. Even today, after seven decades, there is some dispute regarding water among many states of the country. When Congress was in power from Panchayat to Parliament, these disputes could have been resolved easily. But Congress had bad intentions so it never made any concrete efforts.
