In view of upcoming Moharram festival, Peace Committee meeting concluded at Robertsganj police station, necessary guidelines given

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma, with the aim of conducting the upcoming Moharram festival in a safe, peaceful and harmonious environment, a Peace Committee meeting was organized at Police Station Robertsganj by Area Officer City Randhir Kumar Mishra on Tuesday, 16.06.2026.

In the meeting, an appeal was made to maintain mutual brotherhood, harmony and peace during the festival of Moharram by establishing communication with Tajiyadars, religious leaders, distinguished citizens, elite persons and representatives of concerned departments. The people present in the meeting were informed about the prescribed route, timing of Moharram processions and to ensure compliance with the guidelines issued by the government.

It was clearly told by the city jurisdictional officer that no new tradition of any kind should be started and avoid spreading misleading, inflammatory or objectionable material on social media. If you receive information about any kind of rumor or objectionable post, then immediately inform the police.

Suggestions were received from the people present in the meeting regarding electricity, drinking water, cleanliness, transport system and other necessary arrangements and assurance was given to ensure necessary arrangements by establishing coordination with the concerned departments.

The city jurisdictional officer appealed to everyone to conduct the festival of Moharram in a peaceful and harmonious environment with mutual coordination and cooperation. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and all the persons present assured to provide full cooperation to the police administration.
