Giving information about this important decision taken in the meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the new MSP on raw jute will prove to be 66.8 percent beneficial on its average production cost. The MSP of raw jute was Rs 2,400 per quintal at the beginning of the Modi government in 2014-15, which has more than doubled to Rs 5,650 per quintal after the recent hike.
National Health Mission will continue
Along with the decision to increase the MSP on raw jute, the Union Cabinet also approved the continuation of the National Health Mission for the next five years. Giving information in this regard, Piyush Goyal said that this National Health Mission has achieved a historic achievement in the last 10 years. He said that between 2021 and 2022, about 12 lakh health workers are associated with the National Health Mission (NHM). Not only this, India has also fought the Covid-19 pandemic under this mission.
