Afghanistan gave a bad fate to the Indian team, which reached the semi-finals after winning three consecutive matches. Afghanistan's opening batsman started attacking the bowlers. Afghanistan scored 206 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs.

Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Afghanistan team made a partnership of 137 runs for the first wicket. Zubaid Akbari was out after scoring 64 runs. The Indian team got the first wicket in 14.1 overs. The second and third wickets fell at 181 runs each. While bowling for India, Anshul Kamboj gave away 40 runs in 3 overs. Whereas Aaqib Khan spent 48 runs in 4 overs, Rahul Chahar spent 48 runs in 3 overs, Rasikh Salam spent 25 runs in 4 overs, Ayush Badoni spent 29 runs in 4 overs and Ramandeep Singh spent 11 runs in 1 over. India needs 207 runs to reach the final. If the Indian team is successful in scoring 207 runs then India will face Sri Lanka.
