IND-A vs SL-A: Sri Lanka-A lost by 66 runs, India-A won the tri-series trophy
India-A won the title of the tri-series played in Sri Lanka. The final match of the series was played between India-A and Sri Lanka-A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla on 21 June. In this match, the Indian team batted first and scored a huge score of 377 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka-A team could not reach this target and India-A won the trophy by registering a spectacular win by 66 runs.
Apart from India-A and Sri Lanka-A, Afghanistan-A team was also included in this series. In the tri-series, Afghanistan team could win only one match out of four. After which the final match was played between India-A and Sri Lanka-A.

India A innings
Sri Lanka A won the toss and decided to bowl first. Coming to bat first, India A made a good start and scored runs at a fast pace. The team had scored 140 runs after losing 2 wickets in the first 10 overs. By 44 overs the score had reached 300 runs. In the end, the Indian team scored 377 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. However, seeing the way India A started the innings, it seemed that the team would easily score more than 400 runs but it could not happen.

Right from the beginning of the innings, Vaibhav Suryavanshi thrashed the Sri Lankan bowlers. He scored a stormy half-century in just 11 balls. Vaibhav played an explosive inning of 94 runs in just 29 balls. Apart from him, captain Tilak Verma scored 67 runs, while Rituraj Gaikwad was out after scoring 40 runs. For Sri Lanka-A, Vanujja Sahan, Ravindu Fernando and Kugathas Mathulan took 2-2 wickets. Whereas Mohammad Shiraz, Sahan Arachige and Dulaj Samuditha got 1 wicket each.
Sri Lanka A innings
Sri Lanka A did not have a good start at all. The team kept losing wickets at frequent intervals and could not make any big partnership. However, the batsmen did make small partnerships. Sri Lanka A lost 3 wickets for 75 runs in the first 10 overs. The team crossed the 300-run mark in the 44th over but by then 8 of its batsmen had returned to the pavilion. Ultimately, the entire Sri Lanka A team could not even play 50 overs and were all out for 311 runs in 47.1 overs. With this, India-A won the match by 66 runs.

Vanuza Sahan played the highest innings of 62 runs for Sri Lanka-A. Apart from him, Sadira Samarawickrama scored 52 runs, while captain Sahan Arachchige contributed 38 runs. Whereas India-A bowlers performed brilliantly. Yash Thakur and Vipraj Nigam took 3 wickets each. Anukul Roy got 2 wickets, while captain Tilak Verma and Ashok Sharma took 1 wicket each.
