IND U19 vs PAK U19: Sameer Minhas’s explosive century leads Pakistan to victory in the Under-19 Asia Cup
Thanks to a blistering century from Sameer Minhas (172 runs off 113 balls), Pakistan has won the Under-19 Asia Cup title. In the final match played on Sunday, Pakistan defeated India by 191 runs. This is the second consecutive Under-19 Asia Cup title that the Indian team has lost. In the previous season, India suffered a defeat against Bangladesh in the final.
The Indian team won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Pakistan scored 347 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, thanks to a century from Sameer Minhas. In reply, the Indian batsmen completely disappointed. All the batsmen, including Vaibhav Suryavanshi (26 runs off 10 balls), Ayush Mhatre (2), and Aaron George (16), failed to perform. Abhigyan Kundu could only manage 13 runs. The Indian team was bowled out for 156 runs. This is Pakistan’s second Under-19 Asia Cup title.
