I clearly told my players that the celebration should be polite. I wanted the boys to show their potential in this format. I told them to believe in themselves and let them do what they want to do.”

A video of the U-19 Asia Cup final is going viral on social media. In the video, Sarfraz is seen advising his players, “You can’t play with ignorant people like an ignorant person; you have to play within the bounds of civility.” The authenticity of the video was initially unclear, but later, in a press conference, Sarfaraz admitted that the words were his and that he had reacted to the Indian players’ behavior during the final.
