Vaibhav Suryavanshi batted well in the first match of the U-19 Asia Cup played on Friday. He scored 171 runs off 95 balls. He hit 9 fours and 14 sixes in this innings. Batting first after his century, India scored 433 runs against hosts UAE.

Commenting on his batting after the match against Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Suryavanshi said, “I initially thought it was a 50-over match, so I decided to play carefully for 10-12 overs and then I started playing in my style.” When Vaibhav was asked about the sledging by the UAE team during the match, Vaibhav said, “I am from Bihar, and I don’t care what anyone says behind my back.”

While Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 171 runs off 95 balls. Aaron George hit 69 off 73 balls and Vihan Malhotra hit 69 off 55 balls. Apart from this, Vedant Trivedi scored 38 runs, Abhigyan Kundu scored 32 runs and Kanishk Chauhan scored 28 runs. India scored 434 runs in 4 overs on the strength of Indian batsman’s brilliant performance.

Chasing a target of 434 this time, the UAE team managed to manage just 199 for 7 in 50 overs. As a result, UAE had to accept defeat by a huge margin of 234 runs.
