The third and last match of the series between the two teams was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, in which the Indian team registered a spectacular victory by 9 wickets. After sweeping Afghanistan in this series, Indian captain Shubman Gill received the trophy from BCCI President Mithun Manhas. However, after this a special gesture of Gill won everyone’s heart.

After the third and last match played between India and Afghanistan in Chepauk, Team India captain Shubman Gill received the trophy from BCCI President Mithun Manhas. After winning the series, Gill handed over the trophy to the young players Gurnoor Brar, Harsh Dubey and Prince Yadav who made their debut for Team India in this series, after which these three players celebrated the victory and the rest of the team also joined in the celebration. This gesture of Gill is becoming increasingly viral on social media and fans are liking it very much.

continued the tradition of years
Along with handing over the trophy to the debut stars, Indian captain Shubman Gill continued the years-old tradition which was started by former Indian captain and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, popularly known as ‘Captain Cool’. Dhoni had handed over the trophy to the young players of the team. After him, captains like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav also continued this tradition.

Let us tell you, Indian young cricketers Gurnoor Brar, Harsh Dubey and Prince Yadav made their international debut in the ODI series against Afghanistan. Young fast bowler Gurnoor Brar has created history by performing brilliantly in his debut series itself. He has become the first bowler to take 7 wickets in a three-match series. Apart from him, Harsh Dubey played 2 matches and took 4 wickets in his debut series. Whereas Prince Yadav took 3 wickets in 2 matches.
