India Playing 11 Against Afghanistan: Indian cricket will soon start the series against Afghanistan. The team will play the only Test match on Saturday (June 6) at the Maharaja Yadvinder Singh International Cricket Stadium in Punjab. Meanwhile, former cricketer Aakash Chopra has selected India’s playing eleven. He has given place to Rishabh Pant in his team.

Akash took to social media platform ‘X’ But while sharing a video, he chose his playing eleven. In this, he has selected KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal as opening batsmen for the only test. Akash said that tampering with this combination would not be right at all. He talked about appointing Sai Sudarshan for the number three position. The former Indian cricketer said that Sudarshan should get more opportunities.

Shubman Gill’s name at number four

According to Akash, Shubman Gill should be played at number four only. He has also included Rishabh Pant, who is struggling with poor form, in the team. Considering Rishabh Pant’s old record, Akash has advised him to play him at the fifth position. The former cricketer has also included Dhruv Jurel in the final eleven for this Test match. Jurel’s recent form has been quite excellent. Even in IPL 2026, he had a strong performance while playing for Rajasthan Royals.

Prasidh Krishna and Siraj command fast bowling

Apart from this, the former cricketer has selected Washington Sundar as an all-rounder. However, he said that Nitish Kumar Reddy can also be tried in place of Jurel. Akash has included famous Krishna and Mohammad Siraj in his team as fast bowlers.

Gurnoor Brar gets debut cap

He said that if the conditions remain favorable for fast bowlers, then Gurnoor Brar should get the debut cap. However, if the pitch remains conducive to spin bowlers, then either Harsh Dubey or Manav Suthar may be given a chance.
