IND vs AUS 1st ODI : Australia Women defeated India Women by 6 wickets in the first ODI match on Tuesday. The host team has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. In this match, Team India, batting first, was all out for 214 runs. At the same time, Australia easily achieved the target by scoring 217 runs in 38.2 overs.

In this match played at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, India Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and chose to bat. But, this decision did not prove to be correct. The returning Prateek Rawal returned to the pavilion with a score of zero, while 5 batsmen could not even reach double figures. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana’s 58 runs, captain Harmanpreet’s 53 runs and Kashvi Gautam’s 43 runs helped the visiting team reach a respectable score. However, the entire team collapsed in just 48.3 overs.
In the first innings, Ashley Gardner took maximum three wickets for Australia and Megan Schutt took 2 wickets. Apart from this, Darcy Brown, Alana King, Tahlia McGrath and Sophie Molineux took one wicket each. After which, in the second innings, Australia won easily in 38.2 overs after losing 4 wickets. During this, Alyssa Healy (captain) scored 50 runs, Beth Mooney (wicket keeper) scored 76 runs and Annabel Sutherland scored unbeaten runs.
