IND vs AUS: Captain Rohit made a big mistake in Melbourne! Team India may suffer huge loss
IND vs AUS 4th Test: The fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia is being played in Melbourne. Team India was completely seen on the back foot on the first day of the test. The Kangaroo batsmen batted brilliantly throughout the day and by the end of the day's play, they had scored 311 runs on the score board after losing 6 wickets. The Indian team made a big change in its playing eleven for the important test match. In order to include Washington Sundar in the team, captain Rohit showed Shubman Gill the way out.
Shubman Gill’s exclusion from the 11 has been the biggest surprise, still can’t believe – 2nd leading run getter for India in Tests in 2024, looked so good at Adelaide in Pink Ball – I really hope he returns in the SCG Test and he totally deserves a place in the 11 as well. 🌟 pic.twitter.com/lj6PTY5dVs

This decision of Rohit seemed beyond everyone's understanding. Gill could have proved important for Team India on the batting pitch of Melbourne. Former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar has also raised questions on this decision of the Indian captain. Gavaskar expressed surprise at the decision to drop Gill. He said that Nitish Reddy should have been kept out to bring Sundar in the team, because he bats at number 8. On the first day of the Test, Sundar could not leave much of an impact with the ball and could take only one wicket in 12 overs.
