India vs Australia: Indian team's young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy completed the first fifty of his career against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. After completing fifty, she celebrated it in 'Pushpa style'. His celebration is becoming quite viral on social media. The 21-year-old player scored his Test fifty by hitting a brilliant drive on the off side off Kangaroo fast bowler Mitchell Starc.

This is his first Test half-century in the six innings played so far. Visakhapatnam's Nitish came to bat after Rishabh Pant was out. When he arrived, India had lost six wickets for 191 runs and were in danger of follow-on.

Sundar Sang Reddy took over India's innings

By partnering with Washington Sundar, he not only saved the team from follow-on but also scored the first fifty of his career. So far, he is the second highest scorer in this innings after Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 82 runs while opening.

Nitish made his debut in Australia

Let us tell you that Nitish Kumar Reddy has started his international career against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 itself. In the first match itself, he impressed everyone with his batting and played innings of 41 and 38 not out.

Nitish Reddy reached third place

Reddy has now become the third highest run scorer for India in the Border Gavaskar Trophy and fifth in the list of overall run scorers. Till the time of writing this news, this 21 year old batsman has scored 240 runs in the series at an average of 60 and strike rate of 70.38.

Nitish first attracted attention by scoring a triple century for Andhra Pradesh during the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has played 26 matches in first class cricket, in which he has scored 958 runs with one century and two fifties.
