IND vs BAN: Indian players will go to play matches in Bangladesh, tour was canceled indefinitely in July 2025
Dhaka. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Friday announced that it will host India in September this year in a three-match ODI and three-match T20 International series between the two teams. However, in the current situation, due to lack of stable government in Bangladesh, it is not clear whether BCCI will give consent for this tour or not.
According to the media release issued by BCB, the ODI matches will be played on September 1, 3 and 6 while the T20 International matches will be played on September 9, 12 and 13. The Indian team will reach Bangladesh on August 28 for this limited overs series. India’s tour of Bangladesh in July last year was canceled indefinitely and the six-match white-ball series was postponed by more than a year.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had said in its statement issued last July, “The BCB and the BCCI have mutually decided to postpone the white-ball series of three ODIs and three T20 Internationals between Bangladesh and India, scheduled for August 2025, to September 2026.”
The statement further said, “This decision has been taken after discussions between the two boards, taking into account the international cricket commitments of both the teams and the convenience of the schedule. BCCI said, “BCB wants to welcome India for this series in September 2026. The revised date and schedule of the tour will be announced in due course.
