IND vs BAN Test Day 3 Stumps: The third day of the first test match between India and Bangladesh being played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai has ended. In this match, India declared the innings after scoring 287 runs in the second innings, after which Bangladesh got a target of 515 runs to win. At the same time, Bangladesh has scored 158 runs at the loss of 4 wickets while chasing the target in the second innings. It still needs 357 runs to win, while India needs 6 wickets to win.

Talking about the third day of the Chennai Test, India started playing from a score of 81/3. During this, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant adopted an aggressive attitude in the first session and attacked the Bangladeshi bowling fiercely and by the lunch break, India's score in the second innings reached 205/3 in 51 overs. Gill remained unbeaten after scoring 86 runs and Pant 82 runs. After this, in the second session, Pant reached a century in 124 balls, this is the sixth century of his Test career.

However, Pant could not make his innings big. Mehdi Hasan Miraz caught and bowled him out on a personal score of 109 runs. Pant's innings included 13 fours and 4 sixes. When Pant was out, India's score was 234 runs. After this, Gill completed his fifth Test century on 161 runs. At the same time, India declared their second innings on a score of 287 runs. Gill remained unbeaten on 119 runs and KL Rahul on 22 runs. Mehdi Hasan Miraz took 2 wickets for Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana got 1-1 wickets.

Chasing the target of 515 runs set by India, Bangladesh team got off to a good start through Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam. The two shared a 62-run partnership for the first wicket. However, Jasprit Bumrah gave India its first breakthrough by dismissing Zakir Hasan (33). Bangladesh suffered the second blow at the score of 86 runs. Ashwin sent Shadman Islam (35) to the pavilion.

Bangladesh suffered the third blow at the score of 124 runs. Ashwin's second victim was Mominul Haque (13). Then Ashwin got rid of the dangerous looking Mushfiqur Rahim (13) cheaply. By the end of the third day's play, captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto returned unbeaten after scoring 51 runs in 60 balls and Shakib Al Hasan returned unbeaten after scoring 5 runs in 14 balls.
