Captain Suryakumar Yadav on the verge of making a world record in the first match of IND vs ENG T20I series.

Delhi: After losing the Test series against Australia by 1-3, the Indian team is now ready for its new challenge against England. A series of 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches will be played between India and England. The T20 series will start on 22 January 2025 at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.

On the verge of making a world record

Suryakumar Yadav is commanding the Indian team in this series and he will also have a chance to make a special record in this match. If he hits 5 sixes in this match, he will become the first player to hit 150 sixes in less than 100 innings in T20 International.

Suryakumar Yadav has hit 145 sixes in 78 T20 matches so far. To touch the figure of 150 sixes, he needs only 5 more sixes. Earlier, Mohammad Wasim of USA had also achieved this feat in less than 100 innings. At the same time, among Test playing countries, this record is in the name of New Zealand's Martin Guptill, who achieved this feat in 105 matches. This record for India is in the name of Rohit Sharma, who had completed 150 sixes in 119 matches.

Suryakumar Yadav will try his best to create this record along with leading Team India to victory under his captaincy.
