Brook replaced Moeen Ali
Brook was earlier made the captain of the team for the ODI series against Australia. England lost the series by a margin of 2-3, but Brook led the team and scored more than 300 runs in five matches. Brook, recognized as the next big player in world cricket, has replaced senior all-rounder Moeen Ali.

Series starting from 22nd January
The England team is currently training in Kolkata before the start of the five-match T20 International series against India at the Eden Gardens. This series will also mark the beginning of Brendon McCullum's tenure as the head coach of all formats of the England team after being on top of the red-ball team from May 2022.
Brook is set to be part of the middle order for England along with Jacob Bethell and Liam Livingstone. Looking at the good wickets and the team adorned with T-20 star players, it is certain that a mountain of runs will be scored in the series.
