IND vs ENG: England announced playing eleven for the first T20 match, big change in the opening
Delhi: The first match of the T20 series between India and England will be played on January 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Interestingly, a day before the match, England has announced its playing eleven. England has selected explosive batsmen and excellent bowlers in their team. The special thing is that captain Jos Buttler has made two major changes in his role in this match. He will neither keep wickets nor open.
Jos Buttler will not open
Ben Duckett and Phil Salt will open for England. Both these players had batted brilliantly against West Indies recently. Jos Buttler can be seen batting at number three, while vice-captain Harry Brook will be at number four, who is in his best form. Liam Livingston can bat at the fifth position and left-handed batsman Jacob Bethel can bat at the sixth position, who will play in India for the first time. RCB has included him in its team for IPL 2025.
4 fast bowlers in England team
England's playing eleven also includes all-rounder Jamie Overton, who along with batting brilliantly also bowls fast. Gus Atkinson is also known for his swing bowling and good batting. The England team also has two premium fast bowlers like Joffra Archer and Mark Wood. Apart from this, Adil Rashid is an expert spinner who can also bat. Overall, England has made a very balanced team.
