Team India made two significant changes to this crucial match. Prasidh Krishna and Washington Sundar returned to the playing XI, replacing Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy. England also made one change to their playing XI, replacing Liam Dawson with Rehan Ahmed.

What did captain Shreyas Iyer say after the toss?

Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth T20I against England. After winning the toss, Shreyas said, “We will bat first. This is a do-or-die match for us, and we will enter the field with the same mindset. The fearless approach our team displayed in the first two matches will be evident today. The only difference is that we failed to execute our plans properly. But today is a new day, a new beginning, and the atmosphere within the team is very positive.”

Why were Varun Chakraborty and Harshit Rana eliminated?

Shreyas Iyer further stated that two changes have been made to the team. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana are out, replacing Washington Sundar and Prasidh Krishna in the playing XI. Shreyas stated that Varun and Harshit have been injured and are out of the series. Both players are suffering from hamstring injuries.

The Indian team appears to be in trouble in this five-match T20 series against England. After the first three T20 matches, Team India is trailing 0-2 in the series. The fourth T20 match has now become a do-or-die situation for India. If India loses this match as well, England will win the series, and India will suffer its second consecutive T20 series defeat after the one against Ireland.
